How the audit works

What the audit checks

The checklist was created in the Employer Branding course at Mike Pritula Academy. Its 35 questions cover seven places where people meet your brand: how you manage the brand, whether employees take part, how you treat candidates, your website, content, video and social media. PESTEL and SWOT come at the end: fill them in right here and copy them as text.

Answer “yes” only if the practice already works, not if it is planned. That way the recommendations hit the real gaps.

Questions about the audit

What is an employer brand?

It is how people see your company as a place to work: candidates, employees and former employees. It is built from the employee value proposition (EVP), the candidate experience in interviews, the careers site, content and what employees say about their work.

How long does the audit take?

8–10 minutes for 35 yes/no questions. SWOT and PESTEL are optional: another 10–15 minutes if you fill them in properly. No sign-up and no email needed.

How is the result calculated?

“Yes” answers, a filled-in PESTEL and a filled-in SWOT count, 37 points in total. The percentage is the share of counted points. Above 80% is high efficiency, above 60% optimal, above 40% sufficient, otherwise low.

Where do the recommendations come from?

Each question has its own recommendation. The report includes the ones you answered “no”, grouped by section, with a link to an academy course where a course helps close the gap.

Why does the audit include SWOT and PESTEL?

PESTEL shows what is changing around the company: politics, economy, society, technology, environment and law. SWOT links that to your brand: which strengths to rely on, which weaknesses to close and which opportunities to use. The filled-in analysis copies as text for your report.

Who should take the audit?

An HR professional, recruiter or employer branding specialist. It is even more useful to take it together with a hiring manager or a marketer and compare answers: where they differ is where to start.
